Good Morning All,

We are now onto Beta 5. After messing around with jailbreaking all the previous betas, I finally found a good copy of QuickPWN which has the cydia application embedded, as opposed to the previously bundled ICY installer, which I think is really limited. But its only for for Win32Bit machines, have not found a copy for OSX yet.

So follow along and we'll get your jailbroken on 3.0 Beta 5 with Cydia as your primary installer.

1. Grab the software. You will need the Beta 5 Firmware and QuickPWN 3.0 with Cydia
2. Let start fresh. You need iTunes 8.2 intalled, you can grab it here.
3. Next you need to update your iPhone to beta 5. Start Itunes and hold shift while clicking restore, this will allow you to select a firmware, select the firmware that you downloaded in step 1.
4. After updating let the phone reboot and activate using iTunes. You must be on someone's developers list for this to happen. So go spend the 5 bucks and get your id put on someones activation list. There is another way to bypass activation but we're not going to focus on that right now.
5. Shutdown iTunes and start by launching Start QuickPWN
6. If your phone is still connected you should get a blue arrow, click it.
7. Click browse and browse to the directory where you downloaded your 3.0 Beta 5 firmware and select it.
8. QuickPWN will hash the file (wait 30 seconds) and you should get a green checkmark, and the blue arrow, click the arrow again
9. Select if you want to Add Cydia, Installer and Replace boot Logos and click the blue arrow.
10. When you are ready to start click Blue Arrow
11. Follow the onscreen instructions on how to put your phone into DFU mode, simple way is hold both buttons till you hear a usb disconnect sound, then keep holding home(ROUND) button till you hear that sound again, at that point you will see the progress bar start, let go of the home button at this point.
12. Go get a drink wait 5 minutes and your phone should now be jailbroken.

At the end of April month apple had released fourth beta version of iPhone Os 3.0 build 7A300g continuing a pattern of biweekly releases. Along with iPhone Os 3.0 beta 4 a new version of iTunes 8.20 pre-alpha was released which is required to sync your iPhone upgraded with Os 3.0 beta 4.As you all are aware of Dev team has no plan of releasing quickpwn and pwnagetool to let you jailbreak iPhone OS 3.0 beta releases as they want to save jailbreak for final version OS 3.0. However unofficial version of Quickpwn 3.0 is available for jailbreaking iPhone 3.0 beta. Unofficial Quickpwn 3.0 is updated to Quickpwn 3.0 beta 4 which lets you to jailbreak your iPhone, iPhone 3G, or iPod Touch 1G.
