Couple of hours ago i was browsing through cydia to see what's newly released. I came across The Iphone Video Recorder. This was announced on their blog a few weeks ago, and today it is here. The software records at 3 different resolutions at 15 frames per second and encodes videos into Mp4 format. You can test out the demo which allows the full version they advertise an hour to be compressed down to 60 Megabytes. My question is we took a 30 second video, which took about 2 minutes to encode. So does this mean an hour video will take 4 hours to encode? i think your batter will die quicker.




The software allows you to share you video via email or youtube. You can also download to your pc and do playback using the software.
